Post Natal Pilates

Most women are able to return to exercise four to six weeks after a regular birth or when they get clearance from their physician. Many of the exercises performed during the second and third trimester of pregnancy will be suitable now, but other exercises can be added to focus on reactivating and stabilizing the pelvic floor, transversus abdominis and obliques as well as developing lumbo-pelvic stability.

This gentle but effective workout, developed by the Merrithew™ team, incorporates Toning Balls™ to get new moms back on the right track.

Fitness Circle Challenge

1:00pm to 3:00pm

Inject energy and challenge into any Matwork routine with the versatile Fitness Circle® resistance ring. In this workshop, developed by the Merrithew™ team, you will learn how this popular exercise accessory can add targeted resistance and focus to both the upper and lower body.

This invigorating workout guarantees to challenge strength, flexibility and core stability. Learn innovative cues and functional corrections to ensure safety and effectiveness.

Equipment Programming for Breast Cancer Rehab

3:30pm to 5:30pm

Many more women are surviving breast cancer today than ever before and a specially designed fitness program is a tremendous asset to provide a more comfortable recovery and deliver increased strength and endurance to resume an active lifestyle.

This workshop, developed by the Merrithew team, looks at a series of gentle, targeted resistance-based Reformer exercises, focusing on ROM for the entire shoulder girdle. Other areas of emphasis include establishing mobility, restoring posture, ensuring proper bio-mechanics and developing core and peripheral strength to address muscular imbalances developed from various types of surgeries and treatments.

  • Cancellations made up to 5th January 2020 will be refunded less a $50 administration fee. Cancellations made after 5th January 2020 are non-refundable.
  • Registrations received after 26th January 2020 will incur a $50 last minute booking fee.

About Michelle

Michelle, from Sydney, Australia, has both a Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Arts (Dance) degrees. She became a fully certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor in 2003, and later that year went on to become an Instructor Trainer.

She is now an IT for Merrithew specializing in STOTT PILATES full repertoire. Over the past 14 years, she has taught hundreds of STOTT PILATES courses and workshops in the US, Canada, Brazil, Hong Kong, New Zealand, the Philippines, the US and the UAE. Michelle is an intrepid traveler who loves an adventure.
