Random Crap

Okay, this isn’t actually a session. More like a promise.

Imagination is always at the core of Move Move. Our Coaches are a frighteningly creative bunch and love cooking up mind-blowing new routines. It’s all part of Move Move’s evolution!

So exercise isn’t the bigger picture. You’ll be practising a discipline on either:

  1. a mat, obviously it’s like a yoga mat but a tad thicker to cushion pressure points
  2. a machine called a reformer, which is a sliding platform complete with a foot bar and pulleys that you pull
  3. a standing tower called, surprise, a tower that is basically a mat attached to a ballet bar but also has springs that you pull. (Sounds complicated but it’s not.)

Have a chat with one of our Coaches, they’ll know exactly which one perfect for you well before you commit.

However, all three focus on the concept of control rather than cranking out mindless reps or trying to make you collapse.

In Pilates, you work against gravity (and in the case of the Tower and Reformer, the  springs) with the ultimate goal of isolating the right muscles.

And you should always take your time whilst moving, so that you focus on the task at hand, and, as we MoVERs say, “connect to your breath.”
