That’s no way to treat the blues

Sometimes the stuff I choose as “treats” aren’t good for me. I know because the pleasure lasts a minute, but then feelings of guilt and loss of control wash over me.

And while it’s easy to think, I’ll feel good after I have a few G-n-Ts … a pint of chocolate ice cream … a new pair of shoes. It’s worth a pause asking if this will truly make things better.
